For the Batman New 52 Reading Order, there has been some real trouble getting a detailed reading order or continuity. Since it was just so amazing, I mostly concentrated just on Scott Snyder’s Batman, but with Batman Eternal going on and the latest Bat-books that have been published lately, it’s been a little confusing on what to read when you’re not totally lost to the new books. Batman New 52 Reading Order
Bruce Wayne took back the role of Batman at the beginning of the Batman New 52 Reading Order and Dick Grayson once more became Nightwing (Reading Order). The DC Universe was, however, reset. The reset, however, seems to have retained almost all of the history of Bruce Wayne, although in a more simplified form.
Throughout this period, Scott Snyder’s work on Batman is much more influential than in the previous era. It mostly plays out through the Batman series, of which the vast majority were written by Scott Snyder.
However, in other comics and the majority of the Batman Eternal and Batman and Robin Eternal series, it also stretches into smaller appearances. All of this helps to form a mostly coherent Batman narrative in this period.
Why Scott Snyder’s Batman?
After the famous run on Batman by Grant Morrison, came the New 52 and Scott Snyder. Snyder became one of the decade’s major writers with tales about The Court of Howls, Batman Eternal, the Dark Nights: Metal Case, and more.
Scott Snyder, who collaborated mainly with artist Greg Capullo and writer James Tynion IV, brought us one of the best Batmans and a lot of great adventures.

Batman New 52 Reading Order Scope
A character-specific list is the following New 52 Batman reading order and does not overlap with books such as Justice League. With a vested interest in our Caped Crusader and no one else, this is an ideal reading list to follow. This list will show you the best way to read the issues and some tips for the cheapest and fastest way to compile the list and the chronological orders.
Collecting all individual problems can be incredibly challenging, costly, and probably even impossible, so we have also included a trade paperback/hardback reading order after the problem reading order.
From 2011 to 2015, the New 52 campaign featured all the books that Batman was part of Batman, All-Star Western, Batman and Robin, Detective Comics, Incorporated, Immortal.
There are many storylines, crossovers, and occurrences due to the length of time and popularity of the character that Batman was a member of which fills the reading order which is: Zero Year, Court of Owls, Night of the Owls, Death of the Family, Requiem, Everlasting, Endgame, Superheavy, Robin War and the very beginning of Rebirth.
The plot of Batman’s New 52 Reading Order
The DC Universe was relaunched by DC Comics in September 2011, giving a makeover to all of its characters. The relaunch opened up iconic heroes and villains from years of continuity and offered the chance to take the likes of Superman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman et al, in an exciting direction to new creative teams.

The job of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo was to oversee the new stories of the Caped Crusader, which began in Batman issue # 1. The first arc in their run concentrated on The Court of Owls, a secret society working in Gotham’s shadows.
The New 52 adventures of Batman begins with the storyline of the Court of Owls that runs for the first seven issues and continues with the storyline of the City of Owls, which runs between issue # 8 and # 12, as well as Batman Annual # 1. The third tale is Death of the Family and it takes place between issues # 13 and # 17.
