Fans of Harry Potter Will Earn $1K
A few fortunate Wizarding World fans have the chance during the quarantine to put $1,000 extra dollars in their pockets. EDsmart aims to binge on every single film in the series for up to five Harry Potter fans, including spin-offs from both Fantastic Beasts. Aside from the cash, each chosen person will also receive merchandise and swag worth up to $200 to help them get through the marathon.
The marathon comprises a total of ten films, just over 25 hours in total. Sorcerer’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Azkaban Prisoner, The Goblet of Fire, The Order of the Phoenix, Part 1 and Part 2 of The Half-Blood Prince and The Deathly Hallows, as well as Amazing Beasts Movies Where to Find Them and Grindelwald Crimes. That breaks down to $41.50 an hour, a reasonably solid rate for sitting around and watching movies. Those who are chosen will be asked on social media to record their experience. Per EDsmart, what they are looking for is here.
How to Host a Harry Potter Marathon
If it’s been a while when you and your friends watched the first Harry Potter marathon film, Harry Potter and The Stone of the Sorcerer, you could be ready for a marathon movie. The Potter films will take about 20 hours to watch from start to finish, so you and your crew have your watching cut out for you. But it will be easier to host your Potter movie marathon than to say wingardium leviosa with a little planning, preparation, and some enjoyable breaks.
Harry Potter Success in the Marathon
First stuff first. All about remaining relaxed is a movie marathon. Pajamas are a must, ideally for those stressful House Cup moments in your house colors. But any kind of cozy will do. Top tip though, we’d suggest digging them out if you have pajamas with pockets. That way, you’ll have a spot to keep your snacks at the edge of the couch, away from the abyss.
You may want slippers and socks on your feet, too to keep your toes warm. There’s just no need for them to match up, as Dobby would tell you.
Harry Potter Movie Airing Marathon Now
There’s plenty to enjoy here for the first time in Harry Potter or the five-hundredth (like yours really). That’s one of the reasons why the series made it to our binge-watch list of the best movie franchises. But there’s more: wonder and mischief and confusion abound, you’ll be hooked from the get-go by the charismatic cast of characters, and the quality value remains some of the best in Hollywood history. For people out there who have seen these movies so many times that they know them by heart, this last section is particularly fascinating. Take this chance to watch Harry Potter from another perspective: keep an eye on the actors in the background and support the cast as they pass.
Via a scene, or pay attention to the camerawork of the different directors of the franchise and their DPs. For Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the Oscar-winning filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón and BAFTA-nominated filmmaker Michael Seresin are arguably the best of the lot.
