Tyrese Gibson, who plays Morbius, has denied that the next film is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This one follows in the footsteps of Venom in that it’s under the Sony label rather than Marvel Studios, and it stars Oscar winner Jared Leto as Dr Michael Morbius, who accidently transforms himself into a creature of the night.
Sony is preparing to release a new Spider-Man spinoff! Morbius is a film that will follow the blood-sucking antagonist’s anti-hero escapades. We’re excited to see how this one comes out because the character’s conventional tragic anti-hero characteristics seem ready for translation. Is there anything better than Venom? Let’s hope for the best.

Morbius, Spider-most Man’s infamous nemesis, is one of Sony’s Marvel characters. While Tom Holland’s “Spider-Man” films are linked to Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sony is seeking to create its own interlinked comic book universe with Leto’s antihero and Tom Hardy’s extraterrestrial symbiote Venom. The sequel to the studio’s 2018 surprise smash, “Venom: Let There Be Carnage,” is set to hit theaters on June 25, 2021 — though the postponement of “Morbius” may alter those plans. IMDB

Instead, Morbius developed a far worse condition that resembled supernatural vampirism’s bloodlust. Because the Comics Code Authority had a regulation prohibiting the publication of supernatural characters with a demonic nature, Morbius’ powers are science-based rather than supernatural. Vampires, ghouls, and werewolves would be permitted. when treated in the classic style of Frankenstein, Dracula, and other high-quality literary works authored by Edgar Allan Poe, Saki, Conan Doyle, and other respected authors whose works are read in schools around the world,” according to the code, which was updated in 1971.

Morbius has had a number of different release dates. Sony had planned to release the film on July 10, 2020, but then pushed it out to July 31, 2020. Morbius was pushed out of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with a scheduled release date of March 19, 2021. When it became clear that theaters would not be ready in time, Sony decided to push back the release date seven months, to October 8, 2021. With the new release date of January, the picture will arrive in theaters eighteen months after its first release date and more than two years after fans first saw the trailer.

Due of the pandemic, most films that were set to be released in early 2021 have already been postponed. Several titles, like Camila Cabello’s “Cinderella” (also from Sony) on Feb. 5 and Disney and 20th Century’s “The King’s Man” on March 12, are still on the calendar for the first few months of the year. Sony made no mention of “Cinderella” in Monday’s announcement, however it’s unlikely the fantasy adaption would meet its February release date unless it’s sent to a streaming service or arrives on premium video-on-demand ahead of schedule.
Morbius was previously set to be released on January 21, 2022, but due to another delay, the picture has been pushed back one week to January 28, according to IGN. The decision comes as Sony continues to position their films in order to be successful at the box office.
Some fans may be disappointed by the announcement, as they had been looking forward to the latest edition in Sony’s Spider-Man-related franchise. However, a one-week delay pales in comparison to the months of rescheduling the film endured earlier.
Morbius Release Date
Morbius was scheduled to be released in the UK and the US on July 31, 2020, but it was one of many films to be postponed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Morbius has been postponed five times since its first release, but with theaters now open, it is anticipated to fulfill its current release date of January 28, 2022.
Morbius Cast
Michael Morbius, played by Jared Leto (Suicide Squad, Dallas Buyers Club), is a scientist whose attempts to cure a rare blood condition with a serum made from bats culminate in his metamorphosis into a vicious living vampire.

According to Variety, Matt Smith (Doctor Who, The Crown) has also been cast in a major role. There are presently no more details available.
How to Watch Morbius Online
While Espinosa has already worked with Hardy, mentioning him in the same line as Keaton and Leto without prompting suggests that the Venom actor was on his mind, raising the possibility that Eddie Brock will appear in Morbius in some fashion. This would likely match with the supposed disclosures about the upcoming film starring the living vampire that have already surfaced.
Last year, it was reported that Mac Gargan, played by Michael Mandolin, was a fellow inmate of Toomes’ who escaped from prison with Cletus Kasady, but now we know that Woody Harrelson’s Carnage will be seen in Venom: Let There Be Carnage, so we’ll have to wait a little longer to see how accurate this theory is.
