This Sunday, comedian Charlie Murphy, Eddie Murphy’s brother, lost his wife Tisha Taylor to cancer after she died in her sleep. For the last two years, his partner, Tisha Taylor-Murphy, has been fighting cancer. During the holiday season, having lost one of my family members to cancer, I can relate to what a dreadful loss this is. No matter what time of year a loved one dies, you grieve, but this must be particularly rough on the Murphy family, knowing that Tisha is not there to rejoice with them.
Tisha has been fighting cancer for over a year, according to our good friends over at the Satire Mill Magazine site and last night, in her sleep, she died. On August 12, 1997, the couple married and had three children: their daughter, Eva, and their son, Xavier. Charlie has another son from an earlier relationship as well.

About Tisha Taylor
Founded in Brooklyn, after his father abandoned the family and was later stabbed to death, Charles Quinton “Charlie” Murphy, 50, was raised by his mother and stepfather. He started a career as a comedian after serving in the United States Navy, sometimes sharing the spotlight with his younger superstar brother, whose career started just as he started.
In 1989’s “Harlem Nights,” Charlie Murphy made his feature-film debut alongside Eddie, then went on to star in “CB4” and “Night at the Museum.” However, Murphy’s biggest success came with the TV hit “Chappelle ‘s Show” in 2003-06, where he was a recurring character actor.
The comedian will recall his “adventures” in Eddie’s entourage, hanging out with the likes of Prince and Rick James, appearing in classic sketches that featured him as himself in “Although the show was an immense success, Dave Chappelle left the air after walking away from the film.” Most recently, for the animated series “The Boondocks,” Murphy provided a voice and filmed the forthcoming films “Our Family Wedding” and “Co2.”
Net Worth was Tisha Taylor
Tisha’s career was never disclosed during her lifetime and Charlie was not late either. It may have possessed a net value of over $4 million. However, her husband was a stand-up comic with the highest pay of his day. Once he had sold a script titled The Peddler for $150,000 to Paramount. However, the film is still unfinished.
